Questions/Answers:
Q: What is the facilities situation for bathrooms, showers,if any. Obvious sleep in tents on cots
A: That stuff is being handled by Logistics and we will have shower facilities, restroom we are working on also
Q: How do i get additional clothing? Or can I supplement with my own unmarked shirts? Also need helmets & goggles
A: We can provide uniform. As for helmets we do not have any in stock.
Q: I do not currently receive communicator messages via text.
A: You need to log into your NJLINCS account (for NJEMSTF member) and check to ensure the carrier and phone number is correct. For non-EMSTF members, please email [email protected] so you can be corrected manually.
Q: I do not see where we need to provide our own food for xx amount of days. Does that mean food will be taken care of and supplied?
A: Yes, MRE's will be supplied for the deployment, along with water. Individual packing of food is discouraged due to space & weight restrictions. Anyone with dietary issues with MRE's needs to be aware of this and contact us for alternatives.
Q: confused as to whether we can/should bring sleeping bags. I understood that sheets will be available. also what is the window,of opportunity to drop off rolling bag on Thursday since my work travel plans have me going north that day rather than Wednesday. I live in Cumberland County.
A: There is a group of us meeting at the Gloucester County complex in Clayton at 10 am tomorrow if that works for you and we can take your stuff up for you tomorrow. And if you can squeeze a sleeping bag feel free to. I believe they also have some sleeping bags packed up for us also.
Q: On the conference call I thought I heard someone say that a white sleeping bad would be provided, did I hear correct ?
A: Sheets are being provided and pillow cases. I also believe logs is packing sleeping bags.
